Dorothy Herron began her writing career as a newspaper reporter in the 1960’s when it was just the facts, nothing but the facts. After her children were raised she went back to college to become a teacher. Whether teaching pre-schoolers or university students she never underestimated the power of a story to begin a lesson. Now this mother, grandmother and great grandmother writes family stories to keep the memories alive. Not only the facts but the feelings and emotions involved in real life situations. Each story reminds the reader that there is a thread of hope to cling to in life.
Now living in San Antonio, Texas, with her youngest daughter and family Dorothy continues to write, paint and spend time with her family.
Dorothy Herron has given interactive talks with American Heritage Girl’s and Home School Coop Mom’s. She was invited to give a writing process presentation for the Judson Montessori Middle School students and is available to speak with your group.
